This is the remains of the cottage
where Tom was "welcomed" with an axe
but then directed to the presbetry where he would find help.
In 1943 Peter < Pádraig > McGovern lived in this thatched cottage on his
own,
he must have been very frightened by an airman dressed in what
to him would have been strange clothes!
